“Artificial Intelligence and Its Potential Applications in the Economy”

Under this title, on February 17 of the current year, at the initiative of the State Institution “Research Institute of Economics,” a scientific and practical seminar was held at the National Patent and Information Center. The event focused on pressing issues related to the development of the national economy and the strengthening of the intellectual property system.

The seminar brought together scholars, young researchers, representatives of ministries and state agencies, specialists in intellectual property, and experts in the field of economics. The Director of the institution, Saidmurod Zayniddinzoda, opened the event with welcoming remarks and delivered a presentation on the importance of developing a knowledge-based economy, enhancing innovative activity, and introducing modern technologies. It was emphasized that in the context of globalization and intense market competition, the effective use of intellectual resources and scientific research results can serve as a solid foundation for the sustainable advancement of the national economy.

During the seminar, presentations were delivered on increasing the competitiveness of the economy, improving the system for managing intellectual resources, fostering the development of innovative enterprises, and attracting investment to the production sector. Participants paid particular attention to the need to create favorable conditions for inventors and researchers, simplify the procedures for registering intellectual property objects, and strengthen their legal protection.

The discussions also addressed the improvement of the regulatory and legal framework for the protection and effective use of intellectual property, support for innovative entrepreneurship, the establishment of scientific-industrial clusters, and the strengthening of links between science and industry.

It was noted that the development of the patent system and the commercialization of scientific research results are among the key factors in the transition to a digital economy and in ensuring the country’s sustainable development.

At the conclusion of the seminar, specific proposals were put forward to expand interagency cooperation, establish joint research platforms, implement research outcomes in production, and develop new research programs.

It should also be noted that Asadullozoda Shahriyor, a leading specialist of the sector of Information and Scientific Journals of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, actively participated in the seminar.
