On February 20 of this year, a solemn ceremonial event dedicated to the “Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan” was held at the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The event was opened by the Chairman of the Commission, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Saifiddin Davlatzoda, who congratulated the participants on this significant national occasion. In his address, he emphasized that the establishment and strengthening of the Armed Forces represent one of the most important achievements of the period of independence. Today, the National Army, as a reliable shield of the state and nation, faithfully fulfills its sacred mission of safeguarding independence, freedom, territorial integrity, and social stability.
He also underscored the wise policy and consistent support of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, noting that it was precisely through his direct initiative and guidance that the legal, material, and technical foundations for the development of the Armed Forces were strengthened and the country’s defense capacity was elevated to a qualitatively higher level.
During the event, the Deputy Director of the National Legislation Center under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Doctor of Law Abdullozoda Parviz Saudullo, delivered a presentation on the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Patriotic Education of Citizens” (December 24, 2022, No. 1920). He noted that, this law constitutes an important legal framework for fostering a high sense of patriotism, national identity, and civic responsibility, particularly among youth, toward the state and society.
In addition, the Deputy Head of the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan, Candidate of Political Sciences, Colonel Abdurahmonzoda Rajamad Ashur, presented a lecture entitled “Emomali Rahmon – Founder of the Tactics and Strategy for the Development of Tajikistan’s Armed Forces.” He elaborated on the Leader of the Nation’s role in the establishment, reform, and modernization of the National Army. It was emphasized that strengthening the system of professional training for officers and soldiers, as well as introducing modern standards of military governance, are among the priority directions of the country’s defense policy.
The event was further enriched by a poetry recitation delivered by cadet Usmonali Tolibzoda of the Military Institute.
Additionally, Mehriddin Mirzozoda, a lecturer at Bokhtar State University named after Nosiri Khusrav, delivered congratulatory remarks.
At the conclusion of the event, the Chairman of the Commission was awarded the commemorative medal marking the 30th anniversary of the Military Institute. Several cadets of the Institute received commemorative gifts from the women of the Commission.
Furthermore, within the framework of the national campaign “Tojikona Mepūšem” (“We Wear Tajik Attire”), conducted from March 1 to May 31 of the current year in accordance with the directive of the Head of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the proposal of the Committee for Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the leadership of the Commission presented traditional national attire –atlas fabric – to the women employees of the institution.
Moreover, a number of staff members were awarded Certificates of Appreciation for their significant contributions to the preparation and organization of an international seminar.
The event was held and concluded in an atmosphere of respect for national values, appreciation of the service of the Armed Forces, and pride in the achievements of the independence era, reflecting a strong spirit of patriotism.
