On 8 July 2026, a press conference was held in the conference hall of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. The event was attended by Professor Saifiddin Khairiddin Davlatzoda, Chairman of the Commission and Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan; Khujamurod Safaralizoda, Chief Specialist of the Directorate for Education, Culture and Information of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan; the Deputy Chairman of the Commission; the Scientific Secretary; members of the Commission’s Presidium; heads of departments and divisions; as well as representatives of national mass media.
During the press conference, the Chairman of the Commission presented a comprehensive overview of the Commission’s activities and achievements, with particular emphasis on the advancement of the national system for the attestation of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel. His presentation addressed a wide range of issues, including the establishment of a unified national database of research topics, the creation and operation of dissertation councils, the publication of research articles in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals, the defense of doctoral and candidate dissertations, applications for the conferment of academic titles, the impact factors of peer-reviewed scientific journals, the activities of dissertation and expert councils, the defense of dissertations by foreign citizens and public officials, as well as other matters related to the national system of scientific attestation.
Following the presentation, representatives of the mass media, including the National Information Agency Khovar, Sadoi Mardum, Khovar Radio, Asia-Plus, Sadoi Dushanbe Radio, Farhang Radio, Tojikiston Radio, Bahoriston Television, Science and Nature Television, Ovozi Tojik Radio, Science and Life Magazine, together with journalists from other media organizations, raised a number of topical questions concerning the Commission’s activities and current developments in the field of scientific attestation. The questions were answered comprehensively by the Commission’s leadership.
It is noteworthy that the press conference was broadcast live by several national media outlets, providing the wider public with direct access to the discussion and ensuring transparency regarding the activities of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
