After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Tajikistan was obliged to transform into new independent state. Therefore, on 9 September 1991 Tajikistan declared its independence, due to foreign intervention hostilities, an imposed civil war broke out in the country. The people fled beyond the country, including Afghanistan, China, Uzbekistan, Russia and other parts of the world.
Despite this, our esteemed Leader united Tajiks and transformed the country into a peaceful state. It should be noted that, the enemies of the state planned to destabilize peace and tranquility, in order to destroy Tajikistan and to realize their hostile goals.
Fortunately, during his presidency, Нonorable Emomali Rahmon all sectors of the country began to progress.
The government of the country, and in particular the Head of State, show special interest in young people. Moreover, this segment of society has fresh ideas, is well-versed in modern sciences, and can make a valuable contribution to the development of the national economy. They make extensive use of the modern technical and technological opportunities. Nevertheless, to perfect their knowledge and experience, they also learn foreign languages. So that they can represent Tajikistan in international arena and, upon returning home, serve to their nation. Today, work and employment opportunities have also been created for young people.
Each of us as citizens is called upon to contribute to the preservation of our national values, to engage adolescents and young people in constructive and developmental work, and thereby foster a love for our beloved homeland. Fortunately, however, the problems are gradually finding their own solutions.
Independent, paradise-like Tajikistan, as a result of the round-the-clock labour of its distinguished, far-sighted and wise sons and daughters, is becoming more prosperous and beautiful by the day, and its achievements continue to grow. This undoubtedly cannot fail to affect the being and spirit of every patriotic individual, and it compels us at every moment to make this homeland even more prosperous and beautiful.
Indeed, state independence brought the scattered people together and united them, guiding them towards the pinnacle of their aspirations. It can be said that it was this very historic event that enabled the Tajik people to better understand their own identity. How wonderful it is that the Tajik people live and work in a peaceful and tranquil environment. This priceless blessing, Independence and all-encompassing unity, has been achieved through the tireless efforts of the wise and peace-loving people of Tajikistan. Fortunately, the people of Tajikistan, both young and old, realized the threat of disunity and, pulling together, set about building a truly safe and peaceful society. The noble people of Tajikistan must be able to maintain peace and unity in our beloved homeland for ever. They must make this ancestral homeland ever more flourishing day by day and keep the Tajik nation united for all time.
